ICET results are out: English tough and paper pattern similar as last year

THE INTEGRATED Common Tests' results are out. Students wishing to know their ICET results can visit the website www.icet2011.net and follow instructions to get the necessary information.
This entrance has to be cracked by the students who want to get admission in Andhra Pradesh in order to pursue MBA and MCA. The ICET (as it is popularly known) took place in 276 centres across the state of Andhra Pradesh. The examination, which was conducted by the state of Andhra Pradesh, had a similar examination pattern as the last year, and the students did fairly well.
English, which was of 50 marks, was tough as per the students who appeared for the exam. They said that the English paper was tough as well as time taking. The analytical and the reasoning paper on the other hand was almost on the same pattern as the last year. A large number of students appeared for the examination. The total students who applied for this years' papers were 1.5 lakhs, and the total students who appeared was 1.4 lakhs. Professors talking about the pattern of the papers said that this time the odd man out and the series completion section were much easier as compared to the last year.
Although the results have been announced by the Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam today, yet it is too early to know the toppers of the examination. Colleges in Andhra and affiliated exams are under this entrance test. To name a few - Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU), Andhra University (AU), Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Dr. BR Ambedkar University (BRAOU) and Dravidian University (DU).
The admissions of the candidate would depend on the entrance aw-well-as his/ her previous qualifications. Both the MBA and the MCA requires a Bachelors degree. A person pursuing the MCA would require the candidate to have Mathematics in 10+2 standards, among other eligibility criteria. SOURCE MERI NEWS
